CTIS is pleased to announce that its CEO, Mr. Raj Shah, has been elected by The International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR) Board of Directors as the President of the INCTR USA Branch as of Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Mr. Shah has been a long-standing member of INCTR’s Brussels Board and has made important contributions to various INCTR projects.
INCTR USA supports the central mission of INCTR by developing links with cancer centers and oncologists/scientists in North America. The USA Branch has a special interest in reducing disparities in access to health care and on improving the quality of existing health services for patients living in countries or regions where health services for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are inadequate to meet their needs, or where other barriers (cultural, financial, educational, or undefined) result in suboptimal prevention and care of NCDs in minority populations. In order to attain this, INCTR USA will primarily focus on prevention and management or cure in the USA as well as low and/or middle income countries.
